Biennially, SOC solicits feedback regarding the current state of conservation technical standards in Wisconsin through our TSA (Technical Standards Assessment) Survey. The findings of this survey are then used by the custodians — USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Wisconsin Department Natural Resources (WDNR), and Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) — to better understand where time, energy, and resources should be directed in order to prioritize which standards will be revised or created, what revisions to make, and what standards could use additional outreach and training.
The results from the 2025 Technical Standards Assessment can be found here.
