Goal:  This team will create a new technical standard that provides criteria for the design, installation, and maintenance of High Performance Dry Storm Water Basins which are specifically focused on enhanced pollutant removal with a goal of attaining an 80% TSS reduction comparable to wet detention basins coupled with ability to better address phosphorus removal and capture beyond what is typically observed by wet detention basins. Please note that this standard is focused on water quality which perhaps differentiates it from typical dry ponds that have been used for peak flow control. 

Team work will follow the Full Process detailed in the SOC Technical Standards Process Handbook.  This team will examine existing research, consider new technologies, propose criteria, and consider input from both expert and public review.

Work Team Status:  Team meetings are expected to being in October 2021 and will be held approximately monthly until the draft standard is completed.
