The WDNR standard 1005, Vegetated Swale, has been revised and is available for comment from Friday, February 19 through Friday, March 11, 2016. This standard was previously titled Vegetated Infiltration Swale Interim Technical Standard.

The intent of the revision was to ensure the standard addressed the design and use of vegetated swales for Total Suspended Solids removal in storm water runoff. The document provides technical specifications for the design, modeling, construction, implementation, and maintenance of new vegetated swales for purposes of compliance with storm water post-construction performance stanadards in Ch. NR 151 Wis. Adm. Code.
