Every two years, SOC conducts a Technical Standards Needs Assessment to evaluate its process and give technical experts greater opportunity to improve Wisconsin’s technical standards. The results of the survey will help prioritize which standards will be revised/created in the next two years, provide direction on training offered by SOC and partners, and help improve SOC’s collaborative process.

SOC values your opinion and expertise, and seeks your input for this survey that will shape the program’s next two years.

Please click this link to complete this 11-question survey by Friday, September 8. It should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Please also share this survey with colleagues who may use technical standards so they, too, have this opportunity to provide input.

The Standards Oversight Council (SOC) oversees the collaborative process for developing effective technical standards that protect Wisconsin’s natural resources. A technical standard is a document that specifies minimum criteria for planning, design parameters, and operation and maintenance for a practice that provides a predicted benefit to soil and water resources (such as Filter Strips or Permeable Pavement).
