Wisconsin Standards Oversight Council (SOC) and Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) are seeking public comment on a revised draft Conservation Practice Standard 657 Wetland Restoration. The deadline to submit comments is January 7, 2025.
The content of this draft is not substantially different from the previous version but we are looking for user input on possible clarifications or improvements.
NRCS is following the framework for SOC Modified Process outlined in the Technical Standards Process Handbook.
How To Submit Comments
- Review the updated draft WI CPS 657 Wetland Restoration;
- Submit comments via email to soc@wisconsinlandwater.org by the end of the day on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
- Keep comments specific and directly related to this standard;
- Insert your comments into the Adobe pdf document, or otherwise indicate the line number(s) or page to which each of your comments refer;
- If you have general comments applicable to the entire standard, please note them as such.
After the review period is complete, all comments will be considered by NRCS. Revisions may be made to the document and the final updated technical standard will then be published and made available to internal and external stakeholders.
