The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has finalized two DNR technical standards related to storm water facilities with no permanent pool.
These standards provide criteria for the design, installation, and maintenance for the following practices:
- Technical Standard 1011 Vegetated Dry Detention Pond provides a limited but quantifiable water quality benefit without a permanent pool.
- Technical Standard 1012 Storm Water Sand Filter System provides for additional treatment elements to maximize and quantify TSS reduction, with optional enhancements to address P removal.
