New Team Forming – Dry Storm Water Basins

The WI Standards Oversight Council (SOC) is working with Wisconsin DNR to form a stakeholder team charged with creating a DNR technical standard related to High Performance Dry Storm Water Basins.

Notification for Assembling Storm Water Technical Standard Work Team 
SOC and DNR are seeking volunteer technical experts to participate in creating a new technical standard that provides criteria for the design, installation, and maintenance of High Performance Dry Storm Water Basins which are specifically focused on enhanced pollutant removal with a goal of attaining an 80% TSS reduction comparable to wet detention basins coupled with ability to better address phosphorus removal and capture beyond what is typically observed by wet detention basins.
Who Should Apply
SOC welcomes applications from all individuals with relevant experience in researching, constructing, designing, and/or maintaining dry ponds.  Individuals offering substantial experience and a broad statewide perspective are preferred to optimize team efficacy and the quality of the final product. We seek participation from technical experts, municipalities, and consultants.

Those interested in participating in the full team process should submit a completed application summarizing relevant experience.  Applications for consideration to participate on this stream restoration standard team are due to  soc@wisconsinlandwater.org by midnight Friday, September 17, 2021.
