The SOC 590 standard revision team is releasing the proposed revisions to the NRCS Standard 590, Nutrient Management, and the accompanying WI Conservation Planning Technical Note 1. Many of the revisions are required by USDA NRCS National 590 Standard. Other revisions were made based on initial review comments and the members of the SOC 590 revision team. Through SOC’s formal initial review, the team requested thorough feedback from 17 nutrient management experts outside of the team. This review occurred last fall, and their feedback has been considered and incorporated into this version of the draft standard. Several sections were re-formatted to minimize redundancy and to clarify the intent of the language presented.
The proposed revisions will be available for comment from March 23rd to April 20. Please submit comments following the instructions below.
