Revised NRCS Practice Standards – Notice FOTG WI-64

WISCONSIN FIELD OFFICE TECHNICAL GUIDE – NOTICE FOTG WI-64

The following revisions to the Wisconsin Field Office Technical Guide (FOTG) have been posted on the Wisconsin e-FOTG website:

Section IV

  • Index
  • Standard 397, Aquaculture Ponds
  • Standard 560, Access Road
  • Standard 561, Heavy Use Area Protection
  • Standard 575, Animal Trails and Walkways
  • Standard 580, Streambank and Shoreline Protection
  • Standard 670, Lighting System Improvement (New)

Explanation of Changes/Revisions:

Section IV

  • Standard 397 – now includes a minimum freeboard height for perimeter embankments
  • Standard 560
    • the table containing minimum distances between drainage structures was revised based on the current WDNR Division of Forestry publication that is the reference for the table
    • a surfacing option was added using geogrid
  • Standard 561 – a surfacing option was added using geogrid
  • Standard 575 – the table containing minimum distances between drainage structures was revised based on the current WDNR Division of Forestry publication that is the reference for the table
  • Standard 580
    • several references were updated or deleted
    • the definition of bioengineering was revised to include non-living, biodegradable materials.
